Women steal $1,400 in clothes from business

On Monday, July 8, more than $1,400 dollars of retail fraud was reported to Birmingham police from a store in the 100 block of S. Old Woodward.

Officers were dispatched at 4 p.m. to the clothing business and were told that an hour prior, two unknown females had entered the store and began grabbing clothes from the shelves while talking to employees. They then walked out of the store with the merchandise.

Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
