Woman has wallet stolen while at movies

On Friday, July 5, a moviegoer in the 200 block of S. Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham reported her wallet was stolen.

The 51-year-old victim from Farmington Hills stated that while watching a movie at the Birmingham Theater she placed her shopping bag, which contained her wallet, in a vacant seat next to her. Four individuals were being loud and jumping over seats, including the one next to her containing her shopping bag. After the movie concluded, the victim noticed her wallet was missing.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
