Woman borrows stranger’s phone then steals it

:

A young woman from Illinois who was in Birmingham on the night of Sunday, February 2, at a hotel on the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue allegedly stole a stranger’s phone after she had asked to borrow it.

The victim, who was an employee of the hotel, told Birmingham police that the woman, appearing to be highly intoxicated, asked to borrow his phone then refused to return it. When she was asked to return it, she reportedly pushed the hotel employee and made threats against him.

Birmingham police reported that the woman was placed under arrest and given a citation for disorderly conduct.
