Patient assaults dental assistant with water bottle
Birmingham police officers were summoned to the 800 block of Forest Avenue on Tuesday, July 9, after a patient was accused of assaulting a dental assistant.
The victim, a 25-year-old female dental assistant from Oxford, was hit with a water bottle by a 62-year-old female patient. The incident occurred when the patient grew upset, got out of the dental chair and threw a water bottle at the dental assistant while walking out of the treatment room.
The water bottle hit the victim in the stomach. She was uninjured but wanted the incident documented by the police.
