Oakland Avenue road work begins September 3

Oakland Avenue between Woodward and N. Old Woodward will be closed to through traffic for underground construction and paving beginning Tuesday, September 3.


The road project is scheduled to be completed in late November.


Detour routes for Old Woodward is eastbound Maple Road to Woodward Avenue.


For northbound Woodward, the detour route is northbound Woodward and then U-turn to southbound Woodward and go westbound on Maple Road.


For southbound Woodward, the detour route is southbound Woodward and westbound on Maple.
