A Macomb man who loaned his mother’s car to a friend living in Birmingham had some bad luck on the night of Thursday, March 27, after the car was stolen while in his friend’s possession.

When reporting the theft to Birmingham police, the resident couldn’t remember if the key fob had been left inside the car. Reportedly, a credit card that had been left inside the car was used in Detroit later on.

The report did not indicate where in the city the car was stolen from, but Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
