Man caught using basement of private building

A young man from West Bloomfield was arrested and cited by Birmingham police for reportedly using the basement of an office building on the 100 block of N. Old Woodward Ave for personal use without permission.

The man was reported by a woman who works in the office building and when police arrived to check it out, they found a locked room that had noises coming from it. Police forced their way into the room and caught the man.

Birmingham police reported that he was placed under arrest and issued a citation for unlawful entry into the property.
