A Hamtramck man was arrested in Birmingham on the night of Thursday, March 27, for driving without a driver’s license after he was stopped for unreadable vehicle plates.

According to Birmingham police, officers that were patrolling Woodward Avenue that night and noticed multiple cars in a parking area with their headlights on. The officers let the individuals know that the area was private property and they needed to leave. As they were leaving the officers saw two of the three cars had unreadable plates.

The officers reportedly followed the cars and stopped them later on. When they talked with one of the suspects, they learned he was driving without a license as his license had been suspended. He was arrested and was also found to be carrying a taser without a permit.
