Luggage stolen from inside hotel room

A guest staying at a Birmingham hotel through Monday, June 24, had her hotel room broken into and her luggage stolen while she was out of town for a few days.

The guest, a woman from Saline, reported to Birmingham police around 11 p.m. that day that she left Birmingham for a few days and when she came back she saw her duffel bag missing and her room was not how had she left it.

She told police that everything in the bag was worth about $400.

Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
