Intoxicated driver ends up in Troy for warrant

:

At approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, while on patrol Birmingham police officers saw a 23-year-old female from Dearborn Heights using her phone while driving in a vehicle for which the registration had expired in 2024.

Officers performed a traffic stop and upon speaking with the suspect, they noticed signs of intoxication. Upon failing field sobriety evaluations, the suspect was placed under arrest.

The suspect was processed and later transferred to Troy police for a shoplifting warrant.
