Flower bouquet stolen out of grocery store

:

A suspect accused of stealing a $200 bouquet of flowers from a Birmingham grocery store at the 600 block of East Maple Road on Monday, February 3, was let off with a trespassing warning after the store manager decided not to press charges.

Birmingham police reported that the manager called on Thursday, February 6, a few days after the theft, because the man had returned and was currently shopping. When police arrived, they issued the trespass warning to the man, but he allegedly gave the officers an alias and his real name remains unknown.

Birmingham police say an investigation into the alleged flower theft is ongoing.
