Car stolen off street while owner was dining

A Bloomfield Hills resident’s evening out took a turn for the worse when his car was stolen off the street around 11 p.m. on Friday, November 8, while he was dining at a nearby restaurant in Birmingham.

The man told Birmingham police that he was having dinner at a restaurant near the police station on N. Old Woodward and his car was parked close by. When he went back to the spot after dinner, his car, which was unlocked with the keys inside, was gone.

Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
