:

The owner of a recently opened business in Birmingham near the 100 block of W. Maple was cited by Birmingham police on Friday, March 7, for reportedly serving alcohol to customers without holding a liquor license.

Per the police report, someone reported the business for serving alcohol and when officers arrived, they saw several bottles of liquor in the business. The owner, a man from South Lyon, said that he provides liquor to clients that make large purchases.

The owner was told that a liquor license was required to provide alcohol and was given a citation for furnishing alcohol without a liquor license, according to police.
