Birmingham fire collecting for Toys for Tots
In order to make a lot more kids' holiday a joyous one, the community is invited to participate in the Birmingham Fire Department’s annual Toys for Tots collection by donating new, unwrapped toys through December 16 for boys and girls of all ages.
For nearly 20 years, the Birmingham Fire Department has been partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation in their mission to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during the holidays. The annual holiday toy drive has become a long-standing tradition at the Birmingham Fire Department.
“It brings me so much joy to see the fire station lobbies filled with toys each year. The generosity of our community to support those in need is truly heartwarming,” said Birmingham Fire Chief Paul Wells.
Contactless donations will be accepted at both Birmingham firehouses, Station 1 and Station 2. Station 1 is located at 572 S. Adams Road (between Hazel Street and Bowers Street), and Station 2 is located at 1600 W. Maple Road (between Fairfax Street and Chesterfield Street).
For more information, contact Station 1 at (248) 530-1906. For details about the Toys for Tots program, visit toysfortots.org. For more information about the Birmingham Fire Department, visit bhamgov.org/fire.
