Batteries, jump starter stolen off moped

Two batteries and a jump starter were allegedly stolen off of a moped on the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue in Birmingham on Tuesday, March 4, while the owner was working at a nearby restaurant.

Witnesses told Birmingham police that they saw a man in a pickup truck driving near the moped at the time. When officers found the owner of the truck, he said he didn’t take anything from the moped but noticed the seat was in an upward position.

Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
