Anti-Israel vandalism at Jewish Federation

The building housing the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, along with other Jewish organizations, located at 6735 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township, was hit by anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian graffiti in the early morning hours of Monday, October 7.

Bloomfield Township Officer Nick Soley confirmed the act of vandalism, which included the words “Intifada,” and “f*** Israel,” and “free Palestine,” stating, “We are aware of the anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian graffiti” to the Max M. Fisher Federation Building.

Soley said the Bloomfield Township Police Department is working with their law enforcement partners in the Michigan Attorney General's office and with the FBI.

“It is obviously an active investigation, and we are working trying to find the perpetrators,” he said, noting it is not the first case of similar antisemitic vandalism, “so we are working with the attorney general's office and the FBI to see if they are connected.”
