Daffodils 4 Detroit

The first Daffodils 4 Detroit luncheon was orchestrated in 2010 by Claudia Scioly and Cecily O’Connor from the Bloomfield Hills branch of the Michigan Division of Woman's National Farm & Garden Association. The first luncheon celebrated the planting of 3,000 daffodils on Belle Island and this year, the organization’s goal is to plant 4 million bulbs – one for each resident in the metro Detroit area. Over 450 women from 24 Farm & Garden branches assembled at the Detroit Yacht Club for the annual event. The funds raised will be used to purchase and plant bulbs.
