Mailbox struck by vehicle on Whitney Drive

A Rochester Hills resident on Saturday, May 26, woke up to discover her curb-side mailbox had been struck by a vehicle and was missing from the 300 block of Whitney Drive, authorities said. The victim said the mailbox was present and undamaged on Friday evening, but she woke up about 6 a.m. on Saturday morning to find it was missing. The victim also noticed tire tracks on her front lawn leading to the mailbox. Deputies searched the area for the mailbox and any vehicle that appeared to have sustained damage, but were unable to locate either.
